Job Description:

Position Summary

The Work Controller will be responsible for developing network operational work plans to ensure efficient delivery of Asset Management Plan by all operational teams.

Work Controller Responsibilities

  • Optimise the use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) work schedules to ensure planned preventative and corrective work is executed in the most effective way
  • With guidance from Network Operations Manager, develop and deploy effective weekly, monthly, and annual operational work plans to Network Lead and Utility Engineer to ensure all internal and external customer service levels are met
  • Ensure operational work plans are visible to all stakeholders and communicated within a timely manner to ensure safe control of operations
  • Assure the safety of all personnel on operational sites through supporting the Network Operations Manager to assess and improve operating procedures and safe work practices
  • Ensure effective communication is achieved between operational teams and supporting areas (finance, procurement, stores, administration) with regards to work plans
  • Administrate the training plan and competency matrix for network operational teams
  • Responsible for document control and communication of routine and non-routine operational procedures across Network
  • Support Network Lead and Project Engineer to execute materials/parts/contractor purchase orders required to deliver against Asset Management Plan
  • Ensure communication and constructive liaison between the Network Lead and Utility Engineer with regards to operational work plans
  • Collaborate with and support other areas of the business to achieve their objectives
  • Support the Network Controller with the system optimization of GIS, CMMS and other relevant asset information systems
  • Prepare and submit agreed reports on performance to Network Operations Manager
  • Support the continual improvement of operational performance across all operational teams by assessing and analysing operational data
